Why is booking a newborn portrait in advance important?

Booking in advance has many benefits. Availability, planning, outcome.

Availability is a biggie. I feel so awful when I get an inquiry about a newborn that has already been born, and I don’t have any openings in my schedule. Since the window for opportunity is short (7-14 days preferably), it can be challenging to squeeze someone in,

Planning; when you inquire early, we can talk about your hopes for the session. If you have some inspo, I have a much higher probability of achieving it because I will have time to order anything I need. Newborn props/items can take weeks to ship as most of them are handmade and to-order.

The outcome goes hand-and-hand with planning; if I can have a solid plan, I can make sure to have your inspo come true! I won’t be rushed to throw something together and hope you like it!

A while back, Sophia was gifted a maternity and newborn session for her baby shower gift. I had the honor to capture her maternity portraits a month or so ago, and on Friday, I got to meet her new baby girl ADLEY! She was a dreamy baby who slept the majority of the session! Check out a few from her gallery below.
