When is the best time to book a newborn session? 

I tend to book out a little way to ensure your spot; reach out as soon as possible. If you are already further along or just had a baby, please contact me to see if I have had any unexpected openings. I have some clients that booked shortly after finding out they were pregnant. Gotta love those Type A personalities! ha!

When do you actually photograph baby? 

The best time to photograph a baby is between 7-14 days. I do, however, make exceptions. Sometimes babies need time in the NICU, or maybe mom has some postpartum anxiety, etc. Life happens; it's best to communicate with your photog if you have any concerns about babies' age.

How many setups do I get? 

I try to squeeze in as much as possible. However, what we get through entirely depends on the baby's temperament. Some babies will fly through many sets, while others take more time to settle, so we may not get to as many. My sessions are always baby-led, and my goal is to make sure mom and baby are happy and comfortable the entire session.

About a year-and-a-half, ago, Kevin, and I did photo/video for Katie and Jimmy's Wedding at the Westin in Columbus, OH. They were a dream to work with, so naturally, I was excited when Katie reached out about newborn photos. They welcomed Archie about a week ago, and I had the honor of taking his newborn pictures. He was so good. We got almost through our parent posing before he decided to pee and poop all over Mom's dress. Haha! Already a jokester.
